Destroyed from among the people ... In its spiritual application, this means that all who do not hearken to that Prophet, who is Christ, shall be lost eternally.
Editor's Note: This is extreme. It seems to contradict Paul's statements that every knee will bow, and about unbelieving Jews: "And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again." [Rom. 11:23]
